The trade balance of goods and services between Portugal and Morocco is traditionally in favour of Portugal, having reached a balance of EUR 538.5 million in 2016 (an increase of 12.9% against the previous year).  It should be pointed out that the average annual growth in exports and imports between 2012 and 2016 was 14.9% and 1.4%, respectively.
It is relevant to mention that in trade with Morocco exports consist mainly of goods, while in imports the imbalance is not so great.

Due to different methods of calculation, the value for “Goods and services” does not correspond to the sum (“Goods” (INE) + “Services” (Banco de Portugal)). The “Goods” component is based on data from INE, adjusted to fob values.
